Found this thread and am hoping to get some more insight on doing this 99 Camaro V6/4L60 to a V8 swap. From what I've read it's just not worth the trouble but I'm kind of caught up in this very issue "It's a long story" but I ended up helping my son get his dream car and in doing so I acquired this 99 Camaro. My original plan was to strip the car of the excess weight and do a 5.3 turbo build backed by a TH350 or powerglide but I got 6.0 block for a good deal and am going in that direction instead. I have all of the parts that I removed from my 01SS LS1/T56 car so I pretty much have everything for the 6.0 block but am contemplating just doing a bore with a balanced assembly of forged rods and pistons with the LS1 crank or going all out and stroking to a 408. I purchased an engine harness from a 2000 Z28 with a T56 but it did not come with the ECM which brings me to my question. If you have HP tuners can you or can you not write a tune to the 99 Camaro V6 cars ECM?
