got a little more done.
power steering is done, belt and hoses are done, most of the brake lines are remade with the abs unit removed, driveshaft should be done tomorrow
i found some c5 manifolds and they seem to be the ones to go with. just cut the flange off and i am going to extend them back a ways and weld on a vband.
still have the shifter to do, work on the manifolds, make a y pipe, make exhaust, wire it all up, throttle cable.... still lots to do but it is close. i could see test firing it this weekend if i get the exhaust parts by friday.

got a little more done tonight. reworked the top radiator hose and overflow tank and made room for the charge pipe. got a 3.5" to fit and the hood closes.
it looks like i wont get my exhaust parts till monday. plan for the weekend is to get the driveshaft in, do the last brake line, work on the shifter and then look into the wiring. shifter might be easy or it might be a real challenge. i want to use the stock shifter.

fired it up tonight. sorting out the harness was pretty easy. right now it is a giant mess but it is pretty much sorted out and ready to be cleaned up.
got the throttle cable done. both manifolds are modified and installed, coils and plugs are done, driveshaft is done. hptuners hooked right up and i licensed it and tuned out the vats.
there is still a few big projects but i think it will be on the road at least for a test drive by next weekend. this car is going together quick.

Great project. In the picture shot from the front it looks like the radiator cap might be lower than the steam crossover tube. If that is the case, you may have a problem getting all the air out of the cooling system.

i should have mounted the rear of the tranny up a little higher but that would have caused other issues like the heater core outlet and tranny dip stick.

i fired it up for awhile yesterday. the coolant system appears to be working. heater works, radiator gets hot.
i tried to run it thru the gears and the tranny isn't working. there is no oil flowing thru the cooler. i think it has a bad pump but i am open to other suggestions. i did post up in the trans section.

it is getting closer. still waiting on that trans pump, might have to try mts on that. exhaust is 100% done. shifter is done and it works perfectly, i am real happy about that. if it had a working transmission i would be out beating on it right now.
i sill have to do almost all of the wiring and i will likely get that tranny out of there and ready for the pump. not out of work yet. likely get some dr's on the way too.

I am sure that other people have suggested it but you may want to check the fluid level in the transmission before you pul it out. If it is more than 3 quarts low you will not get any pressure when cold. I have seen quite a few pumps replaced due to low fluid level. Even if it shows good on the dipstick try putting 3 more quarts of fluid in it and just see what happens.
