I sent mine back to summit and purchased the new ones. I did not want to risk burning up my swap after putting all this time and cash in it.

Even if they had been out of the 90 days I do not think I would have used them after reading the original thread. I was looking into getting a bung welded on even though that would have been difficult to get set up originally.

I ordered mine at the beginning of last week. They finally sent one on the 8th and said the other won't ship till the 25th. It's nice they take your money and tell you that.

Oh well.

I ordered the 644110 and it was the old design. The 644120 is on back order but it will probably be the wrong one too.

Has this happened to anyone else?

The guy ended up being helpful. Somehow it was packaged wrong at Russell. They are sending me a new one. Hopefully this will be the right one.

Just got a set of black fittings, backordered from Summit. Very nice! I like the secure screw-on setup.

The 5/16 and 3/8 fittings fit nicely on the Corvette fuel pressure regulator, with space to spare.

Bringing back an old thread here. I ordered 2 of the Russel 644123 from Summit. Got them today, & the backing cap on both of them will not fit over 3/8" line. The other end slides on, but the cap won't, looks like it is a 5/16 one instead of 3/8". I emailed Summit, we will see what their response is.

I got three of the 644123's in last week and had the same problem. The backing cap is the same size as the backing cap on the two 5/16 (644113's) that I ordered. I filed mine out to make them fit, but it looks like they're putting the wrong backing caps on them.

I actually came to this thread after I had found this issue to see if others were having the same issue. Your post is the first that I've seen with anyone having the same problem.

I had the same problem, I contacted summit who I purchased from. The salesmen had me call russell to explain my problem i spoke to a tech and even got my calipers out and gave them measurments. They told me the end cap I got was for a 5/16 line and not the 3/8 that i ordered. russel is sending me a new end cap. Lets see how long its going to take. They did'nt even send it out the next day like they said they would. Two days later they said they will send it out. probably should have ordered another one from summit and got it before russell. here is the number to russell tech 800 739 3737 i spoke to a guy name chris

Don't know if I would bother to order from Summit, at least not without having them check the measurements. All three of mine came from Summit. Must be a large batch of them from Russell with the wrong end caps.

Looking back at the order, all three of mine came from the Georgia warehouse. My order was placed on 1/18/12.

Hey funny thing my order was also 1/18/12 but was shipped from neveda. I don't think those salesmen will do any measureing all they know are numbers on their computers. poor quality control on russell part

I called Summit after I discovered mine wouldn't fit. They sent me 2 new ones that were the correct size.

That's weird, I ordered my black ones right around the same time that everyone started having issues with the caps. I guess I'm lucky mine are perfect. Love the fittings.
