I second or third PSI Conversion. Jon goes out of his way tot take care of you. No lie, I ordered a harness sunday morning off one of his Ebay links and 1.5 hrs later he called me, SUNDAY MORNING, and worked out the details of the harness. He got me a Lingenfelter 100MM MAF as well and cal'd my PCM for a smokin' deal. Just ordered something from him last night for the transmission. He invoiced me and let me know it will be there Monday.

Can't beat that!!!

Sweet swap man, best of luck with it!!!!

I just put in my LS3 yesterday for mock up purposes so it is coming along now. It will come back out for the cam and head work but I am trial fitting a lot of things right now.
You got me thinking now. I have drove a 00 camaro with a t56 and liked it. I have not drivin a TKO600. Can anyone else throw there thoughts in on this. The TKO is good for 600lb the T56 ~450 stock. A T56 with bellhousing goes for about 1500-2k used. TKO goes for about 2100 new. So dollar wise Im not much ahead with the bellhousing. I can sell the lakewood. What do you guys think T56 or TKO600..

I purchased my T56 for $1200 with the bellhousing in good running condition. I plan on upgrading the internals at a later date. In the meantime I will drive it around as is and do my best not to rip it apart. I like the two overdrives but now I wish I would have used a different rear gear. I put the 3.42 in when I had a 4 speed in the car. Either tranny is going to serve you well. It all depends on how you drive and what the purpose of the car is.

I also swapped the 4.10's out for 3.42's for my current 4spd setup. I used the car for mostly cruzing now, but their is a drag strip is openeing next spring 15 min from my house. So I will be playing there aswell. It will become a street/strip setup. I wanna be able to bang through the gears and not worry about it letting go, but also wanna daily drive cruze it. I guess we all want the best of both worlds, haha.

I also have been following your build, thanks man for all the great info.

Yeah we want the perfect setup but I dont think it exists. For now we will keep the 3.42's and when I get ready for the track (1/8th) we'll see how it works out. It may help me keep from spinning. The only issue I have with going steeper in gears is the lower the gear ratio the smaller the pinion gets and the more chances of it becoming the weak link. Even though you are cruising down the highway at 70mph and the rpm's are still reasonably low imagine what the rear gears are turning to achieve that speed with say a 4.10 or 4.56! If I can be of any help to you and your build feel free to ask. I am not the brightest bulb but I will find an answer for ya. Best of luck!!!

Well I finally got a chance to get soem work done on the harness. Ive got pretty much everyting removed I no longer need. I ran it on the engine and tapped it up to keep it all together. I now have to get the fuse and relays set up and then transfer the 2 new ecm plugs over wire by wire. My plugs were crushed in the wreck. I got a set of ecm plugs of an 08 impala. The plugs are the same but not the wiring. I've go tthe Impala plugs all matched up for what i need. Heres a few pics.

couple of the current ticker in place still, I wont pull it till its off the road for the season, which is coming soon. ehhh

Everything is looking great! Way to tackle the harness yourself! I dont blame you for holding onto the old engine till your ready for the swap. I jumped the gun and is one reason why my car has been off of the road so long. Keep the pics coming, its what will make this thread one to watch!

Sorry guys it has been nuts here, few minor updates.
Sold the rear assembly from the vette. From the front bell housing back. Sold it to a custom shop that is going to transplant it into a wild solstice project.
My wife got a new job so we are relocating 5 hours south of were we are so we are in the procces of moving right now so no work is getting done on the camaro. Once we get setteled Ill start tearing into it. So there wont be any updates for a little bit. Im chompin at the bit to get this project going. Will have to wait a bit. ahhh

hey guys im back got a few updates. Im into my new place now and have the garage somewhat organized now. Got a few goodies in the mail

Dirty Dingo DD mount plates!

Autokraft oil pan woo woo! Its a nice nice pan me likes! And Kurt from Autokraft was awesome to deal with, great after hour service

My headers are in just have to pick them up I should have pics of those up tomorrow.

I have decided to stay with the muncie this year. mcleod makes a flywheel that will allow me to use me entire muncie set up clutch back. Then I will save a bit and get the tranny I really wnat and not settle for somin now. Ive decided to go with a new PSI harness, just have to call them up and order one. Just need some spring weather to get here so I can get this going.
