Nissan 350z 434ci sleeved stroker/nitrous build.(no more turbo)
Now that most of my parts are in I can finally start posting about my latest(and last) build. My original build was a stock LS2 engine with a cam and a 125 shot and it was a lot of fun to drive and beat the **** out of. Then I decided to go turbo and that is pretty much where the fun ended. The made too much power and was no longer enjoyable (or much faster...traction) to drive. So after 2 years with the turbo setup I decided to take it down a notch(in a sense) and once again have a car that was fun to drive and in the end will actually end up being much faster with more usable hp. My NA/nitrous setup made 398NA/503Nitrous whp. This new setup will make around or over 600whp NA and who knows how much on a twin stage 300 . My current setup is:
434cubic inch(7.2L) ERL sleeved LS block 11.8:1 compression
Trickflow 245cc TEA CNC ported heads with the 290cfm "nitrous" exhaust port
YT 1.7 Shaft rockers
Custom 262/266 .624/.624 @113+3
Fast 102/102 intake/TB
60#injectors
CJs twin 255s to replace my extermal pump setup(which worked awesome but I was tired of it being louder than my exhaust..and just about everything else)
I will be doing a 3" X pipe off the headers with twin 3" Borla XR-1 mufflers.
Ceramic Mcleod twin disc(this one is the correct size and wont blow my engine)
Some form of plate and direct port nitrous.
Solid engine mounts again.
And a lot of the parts carried over from the previous build.
I don't have many pics yet but heres what I have. The block is beautiful. I almost want to put it in a glass case and just look at it a lot. The new block replaces the cast thin sleeves with ductile iron thats 3x thicker at max bore than factory. A quick glance at the block shows just how much thicker these sleeves are. Im running wiseco -3cc pistons (4.155"..had to go this big to run the trickflow 245s) callies rods/crank head/main studs.

Here are a few more pics. I painted the intake black.(not a fan of the "primered" intake look) Also did most of the wiring for the new harness and fuel pumps. New black lines and fittings are all in. Im going to be running a 3" true dual exhaust setup using 12" oval Borla XR-1 mufflers. This thing is going to be ridiculously loud from the back. I don't feel like adding all the extra stuff required to run cutouts.
..I leaned on the intake before it was dry and ended up leaving with a custom logo on my shirt haha.

My Borla XR-1 12" mufflers came in today....I don't see how they call this thing a muffler. Looks more like a "tone changer" than a sound muffler. This car is going to be LOUD. I also ended up going back to my solid mounts instead of the polys. I ran the solids for 2 years with no bad vibrations and I just don't feel comfortable using the polys with the amount of TQ this engine is going to have. Plus being that my headers are half an inch away from the floor boards I won't have to worry about any extremely annoying exhaust rattles.

Radiator and hood latch bracket mounted. The radiator is BRAND NEW never been used and is already ruined. Right after I mounted it I put the hood latch on the hood to align it to make a bracket and when I brought the hood down the latch went backward and ripped a hole in the radiator lol. The new one will be here tomorrow. The radiator is so big it looks like an intercooler. Hood latch bracket might not be fancy but its strong enough to jump on and the hood closes PERFECTLY.

I sold it. My car was very enjoyable to drive when it had the cammed LS2 and 125shot.(stock everything else) Once I went turbo, I could never keep the car cool(under 230*) because there wasn't enough room to fit everything and the car just wasn't fun to drive anymore...it became a traction battle..and the turbo came on so hard that it was either lag or tire spin with no in between under 120mph. This setup will make 100whp more just on motor than my first NA setup made on nitrous but ill have much more control over traction(easing on/off with pedal) so im pretty excited and think this is gonna be the setup I should of done in the first place.

I have been dreaming of this all the time... i couldnt put around 15 into it right now though, i'm thinking the ls2 had to b cheaper, even though a 7L would b perfect 3.5 x 2=7 so.. a 700z. But when the time comes for a new car in a year or so. I'll go that route with the ls2 or ls3 hopefully. The fact that everything tries to race my z including vettes and the new camaro and mustang, it would b nice to b able to hang with them. and have them wounder.

It is finally starting to look like a car. Only things left to do are make intake (fit a little better and weld LS7 Maf bung on) Make the exhaust , install shroud on radiator, and just button everything up.
