Glad you guys and gals like it so far
The damper is a GM LS4 from a FWD, it is the narrowest OEM damper I could find. Not sure which vehicle exactly it is from without looking back, sorry. I have the part number documented in the build thread over on Motorgeek:
Oh found it, here it is (2007 Impala SS part #12635650 and stretch bolt #12557840)

Found you here and then read the build thread on motorgeek over the holidays. Love it! I'm subbed here on LS1Tech so I hope you keep this thread updated occasionally! Great job so far and good luck with the rebuild of the motor.

Just about ready to come off the stand to get the flywheel and clutch back on, figure out the new throw out bearing and slap it in the car.
I had hoped to get it back in this past weekend but I have had the flu for 5 days now, worst flu in years and it has been kicking my ***.
ps. The orange band under the valve covers are spacers so the roller rockers clear the valve covers.

Judas update: been a while
Hi all,
It has been a long time since I have been on here, sorry. I got a PM about the project which prompted me to give a little update.
Unfortunately Judas is down for the count at the moment, although the plan is to have it back up in the spring.
last summer I managed to kill the motor while doing some dyno testing and tuning. After a lot of teardown review it seems the short block was not up to the HP/TQ am I shooting for
The teardown shows that the SCAT crank and possible the block were flexing under peak torque and this took out the mains and then some of the big ends.
The new short block will be using the LSA block which has an improved oil gallery design and piston squirters. It will also use the larger 4.060 bore and shorter stroke, along with Callies crank and rods. Hopefully this will get me to my target of 1000+ AWHP & TQ on pump gas.
Here is a video of the fateful day I lost oil pressure 820WHP at 16psi.
FYI I have a new company website and I am moving from NH to a giant new facility in Detroit in the spring.
