Has anyone tried this Swap?
Can you keep the Tap Shift Tranny function?
I want the 4 cylinder economy, and the 8 cylinder Power!,
that comes with the DoD/AFM.

Anything is possible, but I don't think this would be as simple as you're thinking. The cradle and mount setups between a W body and an H body are very different. The ls4 has the dogbone style mount at the front and the H body radiator core support isn't designed for that style mounting. You could obviously fab up mounts, but the mounting options of that powertrain are somewhat limited since it is crammed together so tightly. I would love to see it done though.

The Bonneville and the Impala/Monte Carlo/Grand Prix - both came with V8.
Get the W-body drivetrain - and get some H-body Northstar mounts - thats about the best starting point that you are going to have.
