Well, we made some progress today. The day started off on a bad note as we found somebody had stolen the cats from the van and two other cars that were parked in front of the shop.

After we filed the police report, the got better and we were able to pull the motor out of the van. I started tearing it down and everything looks good so far. I will update with pics later

Nice work, sucks to hear about the cats though. How did you go about cleaning up the pistons like that?

I bought some L92 heads as well as an L76 intake to match

My questions are, what is a cam that makes good power but is known not to cause PTV issues with the LQ4/L92 combo

Can I mill the L92's to raise compression without issues?

What throttle body to use with this to be compatible with my 03 ECU?

You should really consider having PatrickG or one of the sponsors spec you out a custom cam for your combo. Either way, you should at least use clay to check PTV just to be sure.

We notched the subframe further so the engine would move back toward the firewall and test a 3/4 in. shim in between the subframe and body to drop it lower

Consider using the stock cam to get it running and work the kinks out...
