You can run the truck accessories as long as you get a cowl hood and or just use the ls1 intake because the truck intake will hit the hood. I myself are using all Fbody accessories.

I was reading your build an I'm building a 95 mustang gt with a 5.3 truck motor ls. I know it's out of the blue I would just like for some guidance on this build. Thank you. My name is Robert

on the T56 mounting location, how much did you have to trim out of your center console? does the shifter boot still fit? I just picked up my T56 today, kinda want to get a idea of how much needs to be cut....
just looked a few pages back and answered my own questions.

cool. yeah the top of the trans (where shifter bolts in) was hitting the rear most part of the shifter hole. all i did was shove the trans up in the body and cut it while it was in there. once i moved the metal that was in the way. i had to make like a 2in cover out of plastic i had laying around because the boot was moved back so i had to cover it up somehow and made mounting holes using pre existing hardware.

So what happens to the center console after the shifter was moved back some from the stock location? and what length shift shifter is about right? can You post a pic?

The console wasn't bolted down in this. Just sitting there for clearance checks.
Remember everything is bigger in Texas

do you think the dirty dingo adj. motor brackets would help with the shifter base issue considering you can place the engine 1 inch forward? also what length throttle cable did you use 36 or the 48 inch version. know the lokar piece is cut to fit

Not sure on the dirty dingo kit. If its adjustable then I'm sure you can move it to where you don't have to cut the body but anything more forward then a funky shifter handle would have to be made. And plus my stock mustang drive shaft was the perfect length lol
I do have the 36 lokar cable.

Ahh that's right I forgot about the drive shaft issue. I'm sure I could find a 03-04 cobra driveshaft and tinker around with it. Or maybe I could even use the tr6060 yoke if I decide to that route. I keep looking back to all the build threads into our body style mustangs so that mine goes as smooth as possible
