*6/30/13 UPDATE* Project Boost Production, '89 RCSB SS Bed, Twin Turbo 5.3 Farm Truck
Man I am addicted to boost. I originally wanted to do a twin setup on my blazer but knew room etc etc was going to be an issue so I kept it simple on Project Xtreme Boost going with a single.
Well, newest project is my 1989 RCSB SS Bed C1500 Pickup. Powered with a 4.3 V6 5spd. 108k miles on the clock. Good old retired farm truck. Here's the plans with the truck at this time anyways.
Junkyard 5.3, 4L80e, Small Cam either Z06 or Martin Cam (Yes I will call you Mr. Tick), Dual Springs, Hardened PR's, LS9 Gaskets, eBay Studs, LS2 Chain, C6 Manifolds Flipped Up, Twin eBay GT35 T4 Flange Turbo's (66), Twin EMUSA 38mm Gates, Intercooled, Meth Kit, OLSD Tune Using HPTuners. Shooting for 600+rwhp.
As far as cosmetics, I think it's going to be killer with what I have in mind. Going with Mcgaughry 5/7 Drop C-Notch Kit. Going to sand the red down a bit, coat the outside with a desert sand color, sand edges so the red comes back thru (old petina look), clear it with satin clear. Stay with stock steelies painted dark silver with no center caps or chrome rings with some fat white wall tires all around. I will also have "Earl's Dairy" painted on the doors with a old school glass milk jug sanded down to look old.
Anyways, I just started yanking the motor last night. Everything is on order (turbos, wastegates, engine mounts, piping, etc etc) and will keep the progress comming. ETA is 1 month from today.
Pics and video.
Plenty of room under this hood!

I wanted to go a different route with this setup. I wanted something rowdy that looks rough and sounds mean as ****. Slammed, old school look, rowdy turbo chatter rolling dirty.

It sounds like it is going to be bad ***. I bought mine from my father inlaw who bought it new and Im leaving it original paint and interior including the bench and with the exception of the suspension, wheels and tires am going to keep it as stock looking as I can but with 700 rwhp on pump gas and meth. I would definetly like to check yours out when you get it going.

Was kinda bored today since I'm waiting on stuff to come in to go further so I did a little cheesy rendering of how I want the truck to look. Heck I might stay with the faded purple paint lol

Yes sir, actually quite a bit of progressed. I did get slowed down a little from extra crap for friends (heads/cam install cts-v, finishing a buggy for a friend, lowered buddies f150 haha) but I did manage to get some things done.
Anyways, got the motor in and all installed properly so i could start the fab work on the turbos, took a ton of measurement etc etc. Removed the motor and such which here is what is done.
Installed an old TR220/224 .570/578 115 Comp XR cam I had sitting around with a set of nice dual springs, pushrods, cleaned inside of engine and stuff. Got a ton of stuff in to finish this thing, plan on having a completely open weekend comming up so it'll get alot more stuff.
Anyways, yes I know the motor is dirty on outside and such, but I do plan on ceramic coating the manifolds and hotside once its all welded up fully with wastegates plumbed in. Turbos will be clocked accordingly.

That's the fun with this turd wagon, rowdy on the outside but all in your face business under the hood. Still waiting on summit/jegs/frozen boost to ship my stuff here so I can finish it. Plan on lowering it this weekend and install the 340 in tank pump. Building harness as we speak and plan on running factory gauges.
