LY6/TH400 E38 brake and/or clutch switch?
I am working on wiring my LY6 E38 ECM. The engine is backed by a TH400, with plans to eventually swap in a T56. Do I need to wire anything to the terminals below?
X1 terminal 9 brake switch signal
X1 terminal 26 clutch pedal position sensor signal
X1 terminal 42 Low Reference (M10) - Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Pin C
X1 terminal 54 5-Volt Reference 2 (M10) - Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Pin A
X1 terminal 9 brake switch signal

X1 terminal 54 5-Volt Reference 2 (M10) - Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Pin A

I don't know how the ECM uses these signals. I have read the brake switch is for torque converter lockup which is not needed for a TH400 or T56, but I'm not sure if the ECM uses it for other purposes.
I am not using a BCM so cruise control functionality will not be there.
I can add the wires, but I don't want to go through the trouble of swapping out my brake switch for a 2-pole or adding a relay if the signal wont even be used.

I used none of those inputs on my L99/E38/T56 swap. As mentioned, they are for BCM/TQconv/Cruise and not needed for a manual trans or non-electric auto. If you stick with the MAF and have the values for it and your injectors, the E38 will keep the idle fine, even on a manual trans.
