95 C1500 transdapt 5.3 swap plates
What's up folks.
New guy here trying to determin if I have an issue or not.
I'm in the process of swapping my 95 1/2 swb to a 04' 5.3L
I purchased the 4572 transdapt swap plates.
The problem I'm running into is my factory brackets off my original 350
Have a hump on the back that will not allow them to sit flush on the transdapt plates.
I was told by the transdapt rep that these were the correct plates and they're "pads" we're not needed since those were typically used in 50's 60's vehicles.
I got all the way to the point of getting it ready to drop in the truck and then realized this.
Am I not understanding something here or do I need a different setup?
Any help will be much appreciated..
I've spent a pretty penny on this swap and am READY to here this booger run!

some gm mounts had buldge out / hump out .
some did not.
there is adaptor plates with cut outs to clear these . sounds like you need that style over the ones " they " say you needed and sold you .

Yeah. I haven't been able to compare the differences of my brackets with the transdapt brackets but I'm thinking that heating it up and just beating the humps in should work just fine.

We used the trans dapt mounts for my 90 obs 4x4. Ended up having to cut and reweld to fit right with using the old 700r4. Not sure if it would help but I can take a picture of it if you PM me your number.

Yes. It did not go back fully to where the trans would mate to it in the "stock" location. Not sure what trans you were going with but I can snag a picture tomorrow and send it if you get me a. Number.

I've been told that "stock" location is what I needed. But "what I needed" has been wrong before!
Text me some pics.
