I am considering changing my 65 Chevelle SS rims from the Coys C5's (with custom flat center caps) to a mesh or straight 8-16 spoke rim. I really like the look of Boze,HRE or Forgeline wheels but don't like the price. Any suggestions?

Try Pro Wheels, i understand they're a manufacturer for other companies. Pretty good quality as per some of the Pro Touring forums.

+1. Nice car

XXR wheels makes a very wide selection of wheels and are about as cheap as anyone. Keep in mind they are cast wheels of unknown origin. Sometimes paying more isn't a bad thing.

I was running 18 X 9 American Racing Rebels with 255/35/18 fronts and 275/35/18 rears but didn't like the wheel lip was the same front and back. The Coys C5s have a deeper lip in the rear (3 1/2 vs 2 3/4 front), but I am giving up a lot of tire with 225/40/18 on 7" fronts and 255/35/18 on 8" rears. Ideally I want to run 8" fronts with the 255/35/18 and 9" rears with the 275/35/18.

I like the look of these...

Take a look at the Coy's C-67 without the Spinners. Maybe do black or anthracite centers and a machined lip. So far those are the ones I'm going to use on my G-body.

I'd love to get the CCW's but the snotty kid pictured to the left is going to go to college so I had to look elsewhere too.

I would go with a 10.5" or even 11" in the back if you can fit it.

i would keep it as is, that car is amazing!! But if your really looking for wheels, look at Forgestar. They are light/strong and reasonably priced.

I think am going to have to wait for a, "Buy 3 get one free" sale like Bonspeed did before the holidays. For now I am looking at these for my budget build 71 Nova.

Try Billet Specialties. They have pretty reasonable prices.

Completely off topic, but when I looked at your pic your car reminded me of (don't take this wrong) my grandmothers car. She bought one brand new the same color, but it had a white painted top and a red interior. I wish I had kept that rascal.

Have you looked at American Racing?

Yes, I've looked at American Racing wheels. Their off the shelf rims do not offer any staggered widths but the pricing is good. If you go custom built you are back to $600-700 a wheel pricing. For that money I like some of the KWC, Forgestar or Billet Specialties recommendations.

Wow, I never thought about this before but guys with 13" rims probably have lousy brakes!? i mean,I can't use the original stock 14" rims on my 71 Nova after doing a stock disc brake swap on it, can't even fit 15" rims on my Chevelle with B body spindles and Camaro 1LE brakes.

I've been looking at that same Mesh design for my 68 Chevelle. The only ones that I found are a BMW knockoff by a company named Beyern, They seem to come in a wide selection of sizes & backspacing but I still have not gotten a solid answer on weather or not 120 on 5 will bolt up on a chevy.

Nice car by the way! Tony

Saw these at the Goodguys Scottsdale AZ. I hear they are supposed to be an affordable forged wheel? Anyone know pricing on these?
