The housing was bent, I straightened the tubes the best I could and just welded the housing ends on straight. they were a little offset from the housing but I was using a jig.
Im using a stock t45 driveshaft and a long tail th350.

The torque converter has been off center for a while now, and I finally got around to putting the alignment spacer in. I pulled the x pipe, passenger header, drive shaft, and starter just to pull the trans back 3 inches.

It runs decent for a cam only 5.3, It still needs some tuning. It has a mail order on it now. Ive been thinking of switching to a 5 speed. This is still a driver, ps, pb, heater, and soon to have ac. I have a G-force t5 I got with another project that Im considering using. i could use my factory driveshaft, factory clutch cable and a ls7 clutch(gforce is 26 spline). The th350 is still giving me major vibration issues, and Im tired of not having overdrive. I understand it wont be as consistent, but I feel like on the street itll be a lot more fun.

As soon as the track opens back up. Its still on a mail order tune, and I need to sort out some transmission issues before I get it tuned. I should be able to make some motor passes though.

Well Im in the middle of a 4l80e swap. I built some subframe connectors to mount the trans crossmember to. ordered a edge racing 9.5" converter. All I have left is reinstalling the pcm that I sent back to the tuner for the 80 tune, and mounting my shifter.

I had a 4l80e in my car last season. I had to use lower profile cooler fittings to clear the tunnel:

Also, is your converter non-lockup? If so, the trans requires modifications to run a non-lock.

I ended up running the low profile fittings. the regular 90s werent even close to fitting.
Its a lockup converter, wanted to keep that for drivability. It still has heat/ac, power steering, power breaks, keyless entry, and power windows. Its just not billet, its one of their budget converters.

Well change of plans, I've been contemplating switching to turbo for a long time. I decided to jump head first into it. Plans are forged 5.3, gt4788, and a glide. shooting for 1000rwhp and 5.50s. Planning on keeping ac, ps, and pb if I can.
