Hopefully it's not an issue with that routing, but I like having the extremely validated and over-engineered stock setup for piece of mind.
No doubt it is, I've experienced belt slip due to insufficient belt wrap so I agree with you 110%. I'm just saying the brains at GM may have been anticipating a washed out belt in their design. They tend to think this way everywhere else, so why not here? At least I hope that is how they were thinking. Kind of like running the AC on a separate 4 rib belt. I read it was for NVH. I would have never thought of that.

"Let's make a 580 HP car, but we'll make it idle smooth, get decent economy, have AC AND be quiet."

This seems to be the most informative thread about the LSA swap on here so far. Has anyone on here completed their swap yet?

Mine's been done a few weeks. Car's a blast with it.

Ended up with GM modified acc drive, and the Qwik performance mini compressor bracket for AC.

That is too great you guys who have this up and running! After install, do you then have it tuned or run a tune from an LSA - equipped vehicle? Clearly, that is the easy part.

I already had already swapped a 24x ls2 with a 0411 pcm, so I just changed injector connectors and extended the Map senor wires to work with the blower. I'm running a 2 bar speed density OS from efi live.

Here it what I used from ebay.

lsa blower swap?-unnamed.jpg

Nice piece that fit well in the license plate area between the bumper teeth. Works well with 3/4" lines and ZL1 pump. I opened up the supercharger lid to -12 too. I have a little experience in the CTS-V world so I know what works to help keep IAT2 Temps down.

Does anyone have a complete list of the parts necessary to add to an L92? Or even starter list (without part numbers is fine). Could I keep VVT? I think the camero engine had VVT with the S/C? Very (very) possible I have my facts wrong.
There is a '13 ctsv supercharger locally for $800. But no other parts.

Thank you all!

Thanks. That's quite a fleet of 2nd gens haha. I'd love to do a 80ish or a 3rd gen, but after seeing what I spent on this I'd just lose to much money haha. Hoping the 70-73's start holding value closer to first gens... Not that I plan to sell any time soon.

I have the GMPP LSA harness/PCM and just had it dyno tuned as I have changed the cam/injectors etc. Made 552 RWHP on 5 lb boost. The original tuner I was going to use insisted I run stock pulleys because of 10.5 compression. He ended up bailing so many times on tune appointments I went w someone else, who like everyone said I should have pullied down!

The L99 is the closest analog, which is the LS3 but w/ VVT and DoD. There's a kit for adding the supercharger to an L99/LS3 using it's stock FEAD with a few adds. I believe it doesn't use as many ribs as the real LSA setup, but it's worked great for guys on Camaro5 forum. Search for ADM LSA supercharger /LS3/L99 threads on Camaro5 and there'll be tons of info. It looks to be a great kit for what you have of a L92 and just the supercharger.

I chose to just pull the VVT and put in a regular cam so I could use a LSA FEAD. The VVT + supercharger does make for some crazy torque potential, but it's a little trickier to tune.

So "generally" speaking, I was trying to figure out what I need to add on to my Corvette FEAD to use a LSA. I "think" I have the majority of the parts figured out, besides needing a different balancer. Here is what I came up with:

#5 12622452 Top Left Tensioner on SuperCharger GM Parts Direct $123.38
#7 11588753 Bolt for tensioner $2.44
#10 12606031 Idler Pulley $69.72
#11 12606032 Idler Pulley $57.95
#14 12606501 Bracket $57.10
#15 12606500 Bracket $25.01

I realize I missed a few bolts and little things, but GM uses the bolts for so many different things, I couldn't be sure which bolts I needed when using part #'s in GMPD.

Can anyone here who has this setup, please measure what size the idler pulleys are, and post up in this thread? I don't see any reason to buy a $70 Idler pulley, when there are tons of them out there cheaper, just need to know size.

Thanks, I found and saved it. I'll have to do some measuring to see if I can use that one since my grille opening is different. At least I know what track to follow.

You also want #4. The LSA main accessory tensioner is slightly different to clear the idler bracket. You prob wont find any cheaper alternatives to the idlers as they're extra wide and dual bearing to prevent wobbling under load. Some diesel parts may do the job but they're just as expensive

Bolts are your call. Fastenal or similar will cost about the same but wont be flange head 15mm like every other M10 bolt on the engine. Waste too much time scrounging a JY for similar bolts. The M8 bolts that attach the idler bracket to WP are easy though. The long through bolts can be had from an old headbolt kit. The M8 bolts are not TTY and come with new bolts kits anyways. The lone short M8 is the same as the F/R/valley cover bolts

Very nice cars posted with the completed swaps. Good execution, gentlemen.

What are your overall impressions of the l92 heads and lsa blower combination?

My plan is to start with the lsa FEAD, lsa cam, and lsa pcm to make life easier in the long run. All for a ls2 with the 4.8 crank and rods, making 328ci, l92 heads, and the lsa blower. Hopefully going into my s10 after I swap it to the astro/bravada awd.
