Larry, you may be able to getthe exhaust system to clear the stock crossmember by placing shims between the ends of the crossmember and the frame of the car. That may in turn raise the center mounting tab too high and cause you to have to cut it off the crossmember and reweld it at a lower height.

No step a side, we're waiting for the productiin run to be finished and delivered. As I've mentioned before, I'll post up a status update as soon as there's something to report.

Nice.
Also, does anyone happen to know how much, if any, these Hooker engine mounts might raise or lower the motor as compared to the Dirty Dingo sliders? Just asking in case someone has used both. I either need to lower my motor a tad or raise my tunnel a bit to get driveline angles right. It's close, but I need another degree or two. Now that I think about it, modding the tunnel would be easier than pulling the motor, but anyway if anybody has info about heights I'd appreciate it.

A standard 4-5 week production lead time applies to this crossmember as it does to all other Hooker crossmembers and I think we're about 3 weeks in from the order...as soon as I hear something I'll give an update.

I bought the crossmember and forward biased mounts for my 69 and installed new body bushings and i cant get the crossmember to even come close to fitting, the trans is topped out in the tunnel and with the trans mount on the crossmember hits the mount way before it will get on top of the frame.

What specific transmission and trans mount are you using?

Great, that will allow me to assist you more easily. Part of your issue is coming from the specific energy mount you are using as it is taller than the Prothane 7-1604 mount the Hooker crossmember was designed for use with. Energy Suspension does make a lower version of that mount and I can dig up that part number if you like that brand better. Once you get a compatible mount in there and you still can't get things buttoned up then it's time to evaluate your floors for sag. Are your floors original, or have they been replaced?

Edit: the shorter height Energy Suspension mount is part number 3.1142
