I think any electronic to mechanical conversion will be pricey, I've seen kits for the t56 for around $150 on eBay

There is no cheap way to do it. I had to bite the bullet and went with the Dakota Digital driver box at around $300.00.

Sometimes you can get a new tailshaft for your trans that has the mechanical output. Also both the T56 and TKO sell aftermarket versions with both mechanical and VSS output.

Neither option is cheap either.

Unfortunately Cheapest option is going to be electronic speedo.

If like me and you really want to keep the stock speedo you can try taking the guts out of an electronic unit and put it inside your stocker. Not an easy or again cheap option.
