Will these fittings work on my SS 3/8" hard fuel feed line. I need something to connect my -6an soft lines to the tank sending unit and the fuel rails. I'm using an in tank pump, vett FFR in an 07 LS2.

I guess my question is do they hold up to the fuel pressure over the course of time or do I have to bite the bullet and by a 37 degree flaring tool for just two flares.

Those are only rated to about 50ish psi max. I wouldn't trust them......do the 37 degree flare and be done with it..

I have Swageloc compression fittings on my power steering line and on my fuel line. They are rated well above 1500 psi. Not Cheep but work well. Didn't look at your location but if your anywhere near Tampa I have a 37 flare you can use as well.

These will do what you want and take the pressure. Check with your local hydraulic shop, they may stock them...

Thanks you guys, Russ I did order from your Link, the had every thing in stainless which is what I had been looking for. I also found a cheap 37 degree flaring tool on ebay that I will test on some scrap tubing.

But I gotta say that if someone had told me that I would be spending a grand on a fuel system, and that's with using a B body tank, I would have bought one of those ZZ whatever crate motors and called this done.

Fuel system cost sneak up on you. I'm still amazed at the final cost on my relatively simply system.

IF you would of settled for a ZZx crate motor, you would of regretted it later on. LS power !!!!!!

Yes it will work fine and is rated to hundreds of pounds of pressure , IF, it has a metal collar that collapses on the line , if its a rubber sleeve , it is only rated to 3 bar , or around 45 pounds

37deg flares are pretty easy. If your cheap flare tool doesn't work, I'm about 25min away around the Beltway, and have a nice Imperial Rol-Air flare tool you could borrow.

I've used the same fittings with 58 psi fuel pressure. But I use red loctite on the inside of the ferrule.

These showed up today and I'll have to say they are nice and beefy. Well worth the price in Steel not Stainless.Got some Tube nuts & sleeves in Stainless they are quite nice as well.

As S10xGN said...get to know your local hydraulic guy...I have a Parker Hydraulic store near me and I made friends with a really good parts man there...he makes the power steering and fuel system fab a lot less painful on all my swaps...


(And yes, my fuel system cost me about double my original estimate)
