Default LS1 Porsche Swap DBW to DBC

Hello guys I'm new to the site! I'm purchasing later this week a 5.3l out of a 2008 Tahoe, including harness and PCM, it has an E38 PCM, And is DBW. I'm going to be doing my first LS swap, putting it into my 87 Porsche. And I would like to know if you guys have any advice on the throttle control situation im going to have.

Dump that harness and PCM. The Holley HP EFI or similar can work easily with dbc

There's no provision for IAC in later ecus. Keep the DBW.

Yes and no.
Yours is 58x reluctor. DBC will be 24x reluctor. You would have to swap a bunch of stuff and use a 58 to 24x converter.
Keep the DBW.

But how would I make the DBW work in car that's originally cable throttle?

The early 411 ECUs had both DBW capabilities and IAC drivers. The later, Gen IV ECUs only have previsions for DBW.

As GNX7 said, sell all that you have and get a Holley HP system. You'll get what you want plus wideband O2, self tuning, and much more. You also won't be a slave to some "tuner."

It's not just a tuner. It is a complete standalone ECU with software that goes on your laptop for tuning.

So I'm going to need:
Holley HP Harness
Either a 24x Reluctor wheel or a 58x to 24x converter
And a cable throttle body

Don't need a converter. All you need is this:

The harness does the converting for me? Or you tune it to make it work?

Wait...sorry...You have a Gen IV engine....doh...

You need this:

https://holley.com/products/ls_power.../parts/550-603

That has all the plugs in the right place for a Gen IV engine. The Holley ECU works either with the 24 or 58 tooth engine and that is changed in software, but the Gen III and the Gen IV engine have some sensors in different places.

Sorry about that.

You can keep your ecu, harness, and buy the correct pedal for under $100 (Rock Auto). Just toss your cable pedal. A cheap solution for a relatively stock motor.
Holley is nice, especially for a modified motor, but expensive.

Gen III...crank sensor in the back of block, knock sensors in the valley cover.

GenIV..Crank sensor in the front cover, knock sensors on the side of the block.
