Default Throttle body to hood clearnace issues

Looking for a little advice. I am working on a 944 swap, and currently my throttle body sits way too high. I have an LS6 intake with an adapter plate for 3 to 4 bolt throttle body. My TB is a truck unit. One suggestion was to flip the throttle body, but with my accessories (GTO), the stepper motor would hit the water pump pulley, and has 3/4" interference with the waterpump body.

The simple answer would be to get an LS3 TB. I'm just wondering if there are any other options out there. Is there an elbow that I could put between the intake and TB maybe? That might allow room to flip the truck TB and eliminate the issue with an elbow before the TB hitting the hood latch.

Try a DBC 3-bolt TB from a truck.. it will get rid of that adapter plate and might help.
