Default LM7/LS1 Swap into Chevy LUV

I'm new to the LS scene and would like to swap a LM7 5.3 into a 1981 Chevy Luv truck. The truck is already set up for a SBC and TH350. I'm planning to run a TH350 behind the LM7. My question is, what is needed to get the LM7 running? Wiring, PCM, cats...?

For those of you that have swapped a LS motor into an earlier model car I'd appreciate your input.

Thanks ya'll.

Where you goin to get your mounts? I'm in the process of doing the same thing but I know there's only one place that sells mouth for LUV truck unless you make your own. Site is called powerbyace.com or .org not sure which one it is.

I use these cheap mounts from Summit:

$3 each. Then some cheap adjustable ebay adapter plates for like $35, and the engine is mounted for less than $50 using the stock frame stands.

Those mounts aren't any better then the old oem rubber mounts. They will mount your engine, but they never last worth a ****. I've ripped them apart several times, but I can be a bit rough on them with a manual trans. lol

Yeah manual trans makes a difference.

With a mild 4.8/5.3 build and a stock TH350, they have worked great for me.

Not sure where tho get the mounts quite yet. The truck is already set up for a SBC so it didn't seem too difficult to find LS motor mounts.

Our plan currently is to mate a TH350 to the LS motor, truck is set up for a TH350 too. Unlike the 4L60e that is included in the wiring harness, how do you delete that for just the LS motor?
