Default 2000 sonoma 5.3 wiring

Im swapping a 2000 5.3 into my 2000 gmc sonoma. Ive been going through the harness with help from lt1swap.com and this site. I hooked up my battery today to test the wiring and noticed my orange battery 12volt wires going into pcm pin 20 and 57 are acting like there shorted out. I pulled the power wire feom the harness and put it straight to battery and it sparks and gets hot like its shorted, but the wire goes straight to pin 20 and 57 orange wires. What could cause this? Is my pcm bad? The orange wires are suppose to get 12v constant.

Man i feel stupid. When i plugged the red and blue pcm connectors into the pcm i didnt put the red and blue plastic caps back on because i still have some repinning to do. Well those plastic caps have tabs to only let the plug go one way and i had both pcm connectors upside down. Got the caps on and its working fine now.
