I do have an oil leak from the front cover so I'm guessing I didn't align it correctly when I installed it. I'll have to address that when I have time. Any one else have that problem?
glad it’s up and running.

Are you using a truck intake or ls6? That could be why your stock throttle cable works if your using a ls6 intake

Put it on your computer and I can send you some scan log files to look at for comparison as well.

I am just now starting an ls new edge Silver build myself. Bought the car last week, ordered wheels and tires from lmr on a sale deal. Picking up an all aluminum L33 tomorrow morning. for the engine and got a turbo 400 core to build as well.
great looking new edge man, wish mine was that clean.

i appreciate that offer on data logging for me. Next time I make it out to the track I’ll get with you.

Where abouts are you from?

I just got back from besslers salvage in Louisville with my 05 L33 motor. I live in Madison in. about an hour west of Cincy on the river. I will start a thread later in the weekend. Think I will do a series of short one take videos on youtube as I make it through the stages as well. Gonna keep those super short as I work through the stages. This is gonna be a little different than you guys are used to since I am an old guy at 53 years but have raced and played in motorsports most of my adult life. P.S. my first car was a brand new silver 79 v8 coupe, so it is a bit like reincarnating an updated version of my first car.. Enough about my project in this thread and I will start my own, Don't want to clutter Robert's great build thread going on here.

I have an ls2 intake with a stock truck throttle body and 3 bolt to 4 bolt adapter. I’ve read of many people use a stock throttle cable with no issue. Works perfect for me. The height of a truck intake I could see as a possible problem but if you have a low intake should work fine.

Madison In, hour west of edgewater. Really liked you build thread, I read for hours to get through it last eve. Just enough I could not stop Started mine today as well. nice work and very cool of you keeping your head when you lost that motor a few weeks ago, it is a rarity these days, speaks volumes about a person. Later, Doug...

Ill be keeping an an eye out on your thread. glad my thread is coming to good use.

oh lol and losing 4.8 Version 1.0 did suck but I had such a blast that day It didnt even matter. For me the suck part was being on 12 hour days with a few hours after work to mess with it.

Sure enough on LsFest, can't wait. I saw you say you were taking your car. I'll watch for you and stop and say hi.

Sounds good.

Im only going to run 8psi of boost for lsfest bc unfortunately I just can’t make a cage happen anytime soon which is a bad thing and a good thing. 8psi I’ll run anywhere from a 11.5-11.7

i really need to figure out what I want out of the car. Do I shoot for 9’s and go full 10pt or just keep it in the 10’s and rock a 8pt then maybe down the road convert to a 10pt. If you convert my last 1/8th mile time it would have been around a 10.3 1/4 mile if I didn’t get on the brakes. I only trapped 117 in the 1/4 when my fastest trap was 125.

for me i want to keep it in the 10s and avoid having to get the nhra license and all the other stuff involved. my fastest pass down the 1/4 was in my GTO at 12.3@117 so i feel like working my way to 10s should be pretty fun.

Made it to LsFest! We just stopped by to finish up all the registration so we wouldn’t have to do it tomorrow. I’ll tech in tomorrow morning and see how slow I can make this car go lol. I’m going to only run 8psi tomorrow then Saturday turn it up to 15psi since my tuner is here. Said he’d add some fuel for me.

I am SO jealous I was hoping to make it this year. Plan was to drive the car (it's about 1000 miles for me) so in a way I'm glad I broke it at home haha. I wish they would have one a little closer to me. Hopefully next year I can make it. Have fun man! Be safe and beat that car like it owes you money!

Lsfest was awesome. Friday was hot as ****, Saturday was barrible. All and all, I’m bummed to go back to the regular grind. We met some of the nicest people ever, hung out with some awesome people and the car did pretty good.

i weighed it there, if you subtract me the car as it sits weighs 3150. I’m going to be losing a good amount of the interior when I get back home. Also going to see about having it retuned for 14-15psi. Oh and I’m cutting another 1/4 coil from my rear springs.

10psi. Started pushing threw the brakes. What a difference 2psi makes in how hard the front lifts
