I wish i could use my welder! I have a Hobart 140 120v with a 125CF tank that I have currently set up for flux core w/o gas, and let me just tell you it looks like bird S**T on metal when i weld haha

Hi good looking build. Im working on somewhat the same build. Wondered how you were going to do your wiring? Are you planning on leaving your ford ecm and wiring? What about the engine compartment fuse box?

Planned on sending my wiring off to have the harness simplified. I’m thinking you still run the ford ecm to control everything non engine related on the car?? I could be wrong, I’m the furthest thing from a wiring expert.
No real new progress on the car to speak of right now. Going to push off the wiring for another month or so. My **** *** dodge needed a rear end so that had to come first

There's not much for the ford ecm to run anymore, the only problem spots are the VATS which is also tied to the dash/odometer and the ABS. You can go with a aftermarket dash cluster to resolve the vats but not sure what you could do about the ABS other than delete it.

Haven’t posted in a while. I have been collecting turbo ****. Planned on getting my harness done but I have some free time over the holidays and wanted something to do.
So here’s the eBay China man special turbo junk
-China man gt45 $175
-2 Fail 38mm wastegates $113.98 minus $7.50 for dishonest china man not sending priority like stated in the auction
-gt45 downpipe vband flange and clamp $29.99
-o2 sensor bungs $12.75
-t4 divided flange $29.99
- 2.5 mandrel bend pipe 1 piece from eBay 34.99 and the rest from Summit $111.98 (4ft straight section not pictured)
-th400 dipstick and tube $26.55
Other then that stuff I have a intercooler on the way I grabbed for $70.
Still debating turbo placement. More then likely going to end up like this

With the placement of that turbo, are you running into any interference with your abs box? I know that you can get a ABS delete block but it still routes up in that corner at least it does on mine I have a 01 or did you just run new lines deleting the ABS? Good progress by the way.

Great job on the car. Beautiful family you have there. My monkeys like helping me. I don't know that it saves me any time, but it's worth spending time with them even if they just wipe tire shine for an hour.

My car came without abs.

Outstanding job on your build so far brother! A note on your fuel system.....yes, it is returnless....but useless for your swap. Pump is PWM, and voltage/duty cycle is controlled by the Ford PCM and a driver module in the trunk. Its gonna have to go. When I was planning mine, I had concluded you could get a pump from a '98 49-state car (thats key, as Cali was returnless...49 state cars had a pressure and return line).....and wire the fuel pump feed directly to the pump pigtail (the plugs are NOT the same however). Gauge should work as normal. You can either run a return, or go with a 'Vette filter and stay returnless.

It should be fine.....but I was looking at those damned fuel hats and nearly fell off the chair at the price lol. I've seen people pop a hole in the stock pump flange and braze in some tubing for the return. I am NOT that adventurous
