Good to see more S-chassis owners around!

I'm scared I'm going to end up doing that in the next few months lol I'm starting to get the turbo itch.

Got all the issues worked out on the car and its running good finally! I was able to make it to Cleetus and Cars in Baytown this past weekend and got two 1/4 mile passes in.

First pass i was able to do a 12.9 @ 113 but i missed third (thought the rev limiter was higher lol)

Second pass i did a 13.2 @ 70 (Car died as soon as i grabbed 4th. I'm an idiot and forgot to tighten down the battery terminals and they popped off

Going to get some more passes in the near future, hoping i can get an 11 second pass.

nice man! im glad you got it figured out!

i just got in the mail my Jegs wheels now waiting for $ to order the mickeys. and yeah man i only did it cause i got called out by a zl1 and a ctsv and i kinda wanted more power. i had a 5.3 with ls6 intake/injectors and manifold and long tube headers oh and a BTR NSR .500 lift cam and made like 340rwhp?

also the fact i kinda rushed the build ( even though it took a year -__- ) and i ended up spray painting the engine bay, and i felt my clutch was garbage when in fact it wasnt it was a really good clutch i just had a REALLY ****** pressure plate. so i was like if i am going to pull the engine out, ima repaint the bay properly, im going to address the pressure plate issue which i order a full ACT 6 puck system which is to hold 908tq. and said...340 hp is good. but why not throw a chinese choo choo boy and make 650 lol and e85 ect. i guess i went over board. but enough jacking your thread brother! i never hit the track with my build.

Also replaced my stock steering wheel with a NRG hub, NRG quick release 2.5, and a Momo steering wheel.

Nice! while you are there i would had checked out the bushings. unless you already changed them out!

i had to swap out complete subframe.

at first i welded my stock diff and added solid bushings but then with the cd009 i decided to go s14 subframe ( better for drag ) and 350z Diff and axles for strength and gearing reason and did all my bushing then too lol.

now i have all the arms done , diff ( 3.3 gear ) 350z axles, solid bushings everywhere for subframe and diff and poly for all other bushings.

Yeah i had all the bushings done already.

Did the 350z diff fit pretty easily in the S14 subframe? i may end up doing that eventually if i make more power or blow the Q45 diff.

Now i need to start looking into a new driver seat, my head hits the roof with a helmet on so i need to go to a side mount fixed back seat next. Trying to figure out a cost efficient option but while still staying safe.

those street faction :sp?: seat brackets are pretty good and i heard they are the lowest but a bit pricey,

and yeah with the gktech bushings it fit in like a glove! and the fact i can go to any store now and just pick up axles from 350z and i think 370z im goood!

OR junkyard! haha.

Yeah was looking at the street faction since they seem to sit the lowest but they may have a 3-6 week build. Corbeau FX1 Pro is starting to look like a good option so far without breaking the bank.

Being able to get axles at any store is a definite plus, and the 350z gets a ton more gear ratio options too. Hopefully mine holds for a while or else i may be making the switch.

i had to do the gear change because with the 4.08 that the 240sx comes with it was horrrrible to street drive it. maybe if it was only a track car but i mostly street the car lol.

yeah i know they come 3.3 and 3.5 oem. maybe there are different gears and i know there are different covers too !

Small little update, got the car to the track to finally get some clean passes in. Was able to get a 12.1 @ 117 and it definitely has more in it if i can get the 60ft down. Hopefully i can dip into the 11s soon!

I ended up just adding another bolt to the bottom of the clutch pedal assembly and now it doesn't flex at all. Seems to be holding up.

The car when i got it was in decent shape, no major dents except in the hood and fender which are going to replaced for a Kouki swap eventually. Frame rails were all 100% straight and no rust at all which seems to be a common problem on S13/S14's.

Everything is up and running on the car now, and the tune is scheduled for Monday (12/10) at JMS racing. Hoping to break 400rwhp but we will see.

1995 240SX original Auto Car

Engine:
LS1 (60k miles out of a C5)
F-Body Accessories
LS6 intake manifold
BTR Stage 3 turbo cam 230/235
243 Heads
Speedmaster head studs
Hooker swap mounts
1 7/8 Hooker LS swap 240sx headers
Custom true dual 3 inch exhaust with Vibrant Resonators
Wiring Specialties Harness
Canton Oil pan
Holley EFI fuel rails
Lokar 36 inch throttle cable
8an feed
6an return
Dual intank Walbro 450 (Only one wired for now. Second will be run on a hobbs down the road)
Mishimoto radiator and fans
10an fittings on valve covers to a VTA Catch can

Drivetrain:
Built T56
Megan Coilovers
ACT clutch
Q45 Rear diff (3.69 Gear)
Chase Bays brake lines
Z32 front brakes

While everything was stripped out decided to paint the engine bay. Nardo Grey is the color, and eventually the rest of the car will get the same color.

Rear Subframe pulled out to change to SPL solid rear subframe bushings. Also changed to a Q45 VLSD diff with 3.69 gears using J30 axles.

Not sure how Sikky expects this to fit their clutch master cylinder adapter plate. Just grinded off the edges a little to make it fit. Not exactly thrilled about doing that to something that should be "plug and play".

Time to put the motor in, and it fits really nice in the engine bay too.

tapped the top of the water pump for the steam port.

Mishimoto radiator and fans work perfect, haven't had any cooling issues yet.

Wiring Specialties Harness was a super easy install and everything works as it should. Quality was really good also.

3 inch dual exhaust made using Vibrant resonators as mufflers.

Testing fitting my drag radials, hopefully get some 1/4 mile passes soon.

Time to put the interior all back together now.

Used a Coverlay on the dash to cover the cracks, and can barely notice its there.

Found out the car had a alarm, so i decided to get rid of it and clean up all the wiring for it.

And now to reassemble the rest of the car.

It's not the prettiest right now, but I'll eventually work on doing the Kouki conversion and paint. I just want to enjoy it for a little bit first.
Love your build! I have something similar. I have a mk3 supra with a 4.8 stock 706 heads, ls6 intake, long tube headers, t56 and the rest is stock... I eventually wanna go turbo but for now I want to keep it n/a any advice on what cams I should go with that would be good n/a and also complement the boost? I was looking at sum8706 or btr stage 1 turbo.

Small update, Car has been running great over the past few months. But the itch for more power has taken over so i got a few things in the mail recently.

LS1 & T56 into a 95 S14-vk6tb84.jpg

I will be installing the Holley terminator X first and get it running N/A for a few weeks then it will be going down shortly after and ill attempt at building my own turbo kit. This car has been a pretty big learning experience so i want to continue the theme of learning new skills. Hopefully i can figure out how to TIG weld good enough to make a hotside and cold side.

Turbo kit specs so far:
VS racing S475 T4 flange 1.10 A/R Billet wheel
VS racing 4 inch intercooler
VS racing 50mm BOV
Vbanded truck manifolds with a 2.25 Vband

still need to order waste gates, debating if i should do twin waste gates or do a big single waste gate, but ill wait till i start making the hot side pipping before ordering waste gates.
