Default LS1 in an IROC

Does anybody know how difficult it would be to drop an LS1 into an IROC? I would think that it cshould be pretty straight forward, dropping it into a car with either a 305 or 350. Any experience or input is appreciated.

I dropped a 98 ls1/4l60e into my 90 IROC. I chose the motor mount adapter plates from street & performance, but I still had to notch the frame for the oil pan to clear. In retrospect, I would do what speartech did. Depending on what year motor, you can use the stock exhaust manifolds. I used the hooker shorties. I used the painless wiring harness(not entirely painless), but would use speartech once again if I ever did another conversion. Overall, I am real happy with my setup. Yesterday, in 90 degree weather I finally went 11.96 at 114.69 at the Chevy show in West Palm Beach. The motor has been in for about a year or so, and I haven't had any problems. Good luck. Sean
