LS1 into 37 Ford "What is needed!"
I just remove the engine and tranny from a 2000 Firebird Formula. This will be my donner engine for the 37 Ford. Will I have to change the front brackets and pulleys? What about the cooling issues, headers, wiring, motor mounts? What should I do to the engine and trans. before installing? I am new to this and I am a big fan of learning from others rather than the school of hard knocks! Any help would be appreciated! I am trying to have this car done by Goodguys this summer! PLEASE HELP! What comes first!

You may want to check out the FAQ sticky post at the top of the forum.
A forum member "Oscar Will" has a 35 ford with a LS1 and made this post in the FAQ: "You people with old car hybrids and straight frame rails can use the Corvette cast aluminum motor mount brackets with the stock oil-filled mount cushions. The cost is not ridiculous and the set-up works very well."
Also, S&P http://www.hotrodlane.cc/ has a project section listing a '39.
Hope this helps.
