KUDOS to you Civette for even attempting this!!
That is such TOTAL INSANITY to even think about doing that swap.
Any thoughts about taking this to another universe and putting forced induction on it??
Next we have to work on tossing the TOY lump out of your Elise, and dumping in a real powerplant. Most would say an LSx, but I say a FULLY built high boost Ecotec. It will not upset the fine balance/weight distribution/handling of that platform, and will probably fit/work without too much fabrication. An X-Trac sequential transaxle would be sweet behind that setup.

remember first i was doing this in a new beetle.....but i didnt want to spend 5,000 bucks on a car....
then i had a subaru impreza wagon......but it ran to good and i made too much money on it.....
the civic was just sitting there......plus if i would have used something "easier" to swap it in....it wouldnt have been so different.....thats why i wanted to use a fwd car.....but the wheelbase needed to be as close as possible......i know i could have used this in anything....if i wanted to spend money on a new camaro tranny, custom driveshaft, and rx7 or some weird rearend and suspension setup.....but i wanted to use as much of the vette as a could.....its called im gonna use what i got!.....lol.....the only real money im spending on it is the upgrades for the engine......
and about forced induction......probably be twin turbo'ed sometime this winter....
And i would like to thank JoeyGC5 for the very quick delivery of the intake and throttle body......awesome guy....

I registered on this forum just so i can keep up with this conversion.
It makes me sick how many people can honestly sit there and bash you on this. That douchebag with the mullet and a hamburger ss or wtfever probably drives a chevette with a 4cyl. I think that is the best idea anyone has had in a while. I have a 92 geo metro and i was thinking about putting a v6 in it, just never really thought it would be worth it. You have inspired me to just do it.

As to the bashers, really, there's only been a few, it just seems like more because every Tom, Dick, and Harry on the site has felt the need to quote them and say the same response over and over. Ignore them.
