Hey, I'm putting up my 944 for sale ( here ) and wanted 'bump' it in here. Not only for the sale, but to let you know, this is the 944 you'd want to start with. It is the lightest 944 made. Some say the "purest" 944. It doesn't have a lot of the extras like power steering, power seats etc. Either way, it is clean and Renegade Hybrids has kits to pop in a LSx or LT1 motor in these. Several guys on Rennlist and Pelican forums have done them and they are SCREAMERS. (the cars, not the guys).

Just an FYI... a good N/A motor like this one goes for about $1000, more if you keep it in the car (running) until after the sale. To do the belts and head gasket on these is $1500-$1700.. so running motors with the work already done are cheaper than doing the work.

Thanks. The 944 had almost perfect weight distribution and it doesn't get screwed up with the LSx block either. That's what makes them so desirable for engine swaps.
Good luck with your nissan project. Take lots 'o pics and post 'em.
