Which cam Timing set? LS2 engine with LS1 ECM
I will be using a stock LS2 camshaft in my 416ci LS2, but I will be using an LS1 ECM to control everything, now I know that I can use the ls2 camshaft with with LS1 computer but it needs a different cam gear(x1) to keep the operation of the CMP sensor now what I can't figure out is exactly what timing set I need to get the x1 cam gear and that will mate up to a LS2 engine front without problem?
I have tried searching for the info but I can't seem to pick up exactly what I should be looking for or asking for!
See my problem is knowing what the x1 cam gear translates into when I am looking what parts I need to order.
I already have the LS2 timing cover and my crankshaft will have the x24 wheel installed.

Wrong cam gear:

You can see the part numbers for both of them here - http://www.enginepartsplus.com/pdf/G...20Hardware.pdf just scroll down.

That pdf is very useful!
Thanks again!
.The correct cam gear was used for only a short period of time, when the LS2 was introduced and before the new 58x computers were introduced.

Stock LS2 camshafts used to be a 3 bolt core, which were fine for bolting on a 1x camgear ( 12576407), but in recent years have changed to a large single bolt cam core. I don't believe a 1x camgear yet exists that can bolt to a stock single bolt cam core.
Single bolt 4x (latest version of LS2)
