John, thanks for the kind words and the update on your balancer.I decided to go back to "F" body accessories."Y" body stuff was almost imposible to get used and used was almost as much as new at wholesale price.I am going to relocate the alternator to the passenger side cylinder head with one one of the kits "F" body guys use to run a turbo.Good luck with the AC.

Installed my flex plate spacer and flexplate tonight.Test fit my engine for the 1st time too...WOW these engines sit close to the fire wall.Have to replace my right front brake line,it got crushed when my old engine came out.Looks like drivers side header goes in before engine, then the passenger header, then starter.Hopefully engine will be in for good this coming weekend.

Nice progress. Have you had a chance to check if tie rods clear on full lock?

Yes! It is in! Some pics of progress made this weekend.Had some headaches fabricating a right front brake line, also forgot to tighten the motor mounts to the motor mount adapters!Oops.Good thing I kept the engine hoist.Just lifted engine and transmission a couple of inches to get to the lower mount bolts.Problem solved.
Over the next week plan on installing air and fuel, accessory drive, radiator support with radiator and gauge sensors.I also need to buy a harness, fuel pump, fuel press regulator,ECU and software to edit the ECU program.

Can anyone recommend a place to purchase EFI Live,LS1 edit or HPTuner?

Thanks for the kind words. Here are some pictures of my F Body accessory drive using Smokinhawks alternator and tensioner relocation kit.I have been testing different belts and it looks like a 6k720 is going to work best. For you "A" body guys I would seriously consider using this inexpensive yet effective relocation kit vs. Corvette accessories or other not so inexpensive aftermarket kits.

I had a couple of questions for you on LQ4 but couldn't find a way to send you a message or an email. Shoot me an email so I can get my question to you.

Got my harness in the mail today from Fuel Injection Connection of Golden, CO.I stuck with "the home team" thinking if I had any harness issues, tuning issues I could pay them a visit. Good length, very good quality wire. All connections are labeled.Just a couple of changes need to be made before I install.

Wiring harness is in.Used a "Seals-it" gaket on the upper passenger side of the transmission tunnel.Need to finish the fuel system, build an air intake and it will be ready to fire.

Default It's alive, It's alive!

Wiring is done! Fuel system is done! Had to change the thermostat housing to a straight up housing from CSR.Cool little aluminum piece that made finding a lower hose to go to my original radiator much easier. Still waiting on intake tubing from racepartsolutions and my air filter from K&N.

Any recommendations on a "HP Tuners for Dummies" tutorial?

Had to change electric fans again due to my intake tube demands.Running a single fan(not happy with it) may go with my old Chrysler mini van dual fan set up as pushers on the front side of the radiator.Any 64-65 A Body guys have a recommendation of what doner vehicle to get a fan to fit my oe 3 row radiator?

Have you considered using a shorter radius rubber elbow instead of the larger radius tube to give you more options and clearance to the fans?
