Educate me on pre-1970 Lincoln Continentals?
I'm looking at a couple of cars cheap in my area on Craigslists. They're both four doors and yes, I know they are boats, but that's what I dig. It's one of these or a early 80's Ford LTD wagon. Haha!
Anyhow, does anyone have any knowledge or expertise on these cars? Any thoughts about a LS swap into one? Anything? Thanks!

If its rot free, I say go for it.
Just some things to keep in mind though . . .
1. Missing trim pieces might be impossible to find, or worth their weight in gold.
2. Finding correct interior parts(seat fabric, restoring the dash, door panels, etc) will suck and be very expensive.
3. A friend of mine restored a 58 Caddy Fleetwood, the chrome bill was 4k.
Restoring something unusual like that Lincoln will cost a lot more and take a lot more effort to find parts(versus something like a 69 Chevelle, where you can order reproduciton parts from a catalauge).
Just some things to keep in mind though . . .
1. Missing trim pieces might be impossible to find, or worth their weight in gold.

Gosh there's always someone that has to put the thinking cap on, haha.
But still, if it isn't rusted terribly I think this is everything I want in a project car. I've been trying to track down some decent forums for this thing, but keep ending up somewhere with huge wire wheels and switches.
