Ls1 powered '68 Nova
It's a near stock LS1 (I put forged pistons and ARP rod bolts in it along with a custom grind cam and good springs, retainers and locks), but the heads are stock otherwise (no porting or good valve job), along with stock compression,etc..... It's topped with the Edelbrock Victor Jr and 750HP that's fed by a Magnafuel 500 pump, and the ignition is controlled by the MSD 6LS box. Hooker headers go into a 3" x-pipe with Borla mufflers with turndowns, but I've got 3" mandrel bent tailpipes waiting to go on. It has a TH400 with a 'brake and TCI Streetfighter convertor as well as a 3.70 geared 9" that we narrowed about 3/4" on each side to get the tires to clear. For suspension, up front it has QA1 12 way shocks and Moroso trick springs with 2 coils removed, and out back, I have Calvert split monos, Smith Racecraft MaxTracs and Strange coilover shocks (without the springs of course) that have been moved in for more tire clearance. The power adder of choice is an NOS Big Shot system that's jetted with thier 225hp setting, but it's way fat, so we're going to start leaning it out this week and step it up a little.
The best it's gone so far on the motor is a weak 12.30 at 114 (that was with 110 fuel in it and it hated it) and 10.33 at 130.87 on the bottle. Not too bad for a near stock motor.
Oh, it also has an 8.50 legal 10 point cage in it from www.jakesperformancefabrication.com.
Here are some recent pics:
Oh, and yes, the cage has been painted since then and it still has all the interior in it, so it's not a gutted race car, it just has the chassis of one....lol.

Any idea what the wet weight is? Im curious how much it weighs with the LS1. Novas are inheriently lighter than camars. I had a 68 nova with a 250hp 327 that weighed in at 2850 with full tank of gas.

I don't know the weight, one of these days I'll scale it. The blue is one of many Bahama Blues out there. It's not the one it was supposed to be, but I actually like this one better than the one we picked out, so I let it slide.
The headers are Hooker Super Comps, and the mounts are the ones from Car Shop, along with the Moroso swap pan.
