99+ V6 Harness to 99+ LS1??
Hey Guys,
OK..my question is.
If I have a 99+ underhood harness/and dash harness is it pretty much plug and play if I were to hook up a 99+ Ls1 engine harness to it?
I remember reading something about not having cruise control.
The reason I am asking is, I actually have a 98 V6 car, and already did my swap to LS1.
But its going to be a major PITA to convert pins, etc to 99+ specs. Since I am using a 00 Fuel tank,Cluster,Engine harness and PCM.

I a little confused as to what your doing. I'm guessing your installing a 99+ harness in a 98 chassis. It's no big deal as long as ou have the pin schedule to make the necessary changes. I personally would not bother with changing the tank and cluster as the 98 v8 cluster will work just fine if you use a 98 3 pin temp sensor.
Also. just changing the forward underhood harness will not solve all you problems as there are numerous differences in the interior harness that will not allow it to worj without mods.

Ok OK,
I have a 98 V6 car.
I swapped in a LS1. I have a 2000 Engine, 2000 Harness,PCM, Gauge Cluster,and fuel tank.
I want to keep it 2000 for tuning purposes. Now, to go from 98 V6 body/dash harness is not an easy feat. So i was goin to just do the complete car in 99+ fashion.
Swap in a 99+ dash harness and underhood harness. Instead o re-pinning. Because there are alot of wires that aren't there for don't match

I did this swap in a 98 fbody. You must switch out the gauge cluster or the tach will be wrong. Also had to swap out the fuel tank and lines. I reused all the dash harness and engine harnesses. Just had to add an additional cicuit for the fuel injectors as the ls1 uses two cicuits. PM me if you need any additonal info.
