Big Thank You!
Just wanted to post a big thank you to this board. I have lurked over the last 1 1/2 years as I built my car. It is a 68 Firebird that I bought in boxes and finally completed the resto. Just a stock LS1 from a 98 vette. I did all the work myself, except for paint and the headliner. Again, thanks to everyone on LS1 tech. I could not have done it without everyone's help.

Thanks a lot guys. bczee, I bought the car from a guy who had it for 10 years, he managed to take it apart and collect parts. I spent roughly 300 hours on the body, new floor panels, quarter panels, rockers, hood, etc. Took the painter 7 hours to paint, He looked pretty tired at the end of that day.
Driveline is a 98 vette motor with a t56 tranny. 10 bolt diff that I re-built with 3:73 gears and an Auburn posi. Stock exhaust manifolds with Dynomax 2 1/2 inch exhaust.
Front disc brakes with rear drum. Re-did the entire interior, car came with most of these parts, seat covers, headliner, carpet, etc. I wanted to leave it as stock as possible so I just installed some autometer gauges and a 6 speed shifter ****.
Stock computer with stock program, I used a VATS by-pass box which I learned about on this site. I rewired the car with a painless fuse panel.
Just 2 inch lowering springs upfront and re-arched the rear leafs (3 times) to get the ride height I wanted. KYB shocks all around.
The car drives great and has enough power for me. I have like 1700 pics of the build and will post some good ones soon.
Again thanks for all the positive responses, I really enjoyed this build. Now I find I am bored, I can't wash the car for 4 hours a night.
