Default Harness help (pics inside)

I purchased a stand alone harness from a guy online. He said he was going carb and didnt need it so I got it for a good deal i think. Im not sure where he got it from, he said it was expensive so I'm hoping thats a good thing.. it might make this easier. Anyway 90% of the wires is cut and dry all labeled nicely and just plugs in, but there are a few wires that either the labels fell off or were removed prior to me getting it. I have taken pictures of everything and was hoping some of you guys may know exactly what the wires are for and where they need to go.

There is a green wire coming off the red side I am not sure of, I'm thinking it might be for the starter solenoid but from what I have read that wire is supposed to be purple?

There is a gray wire coming off a relay in the 2nd to last pic Im thinking that is for the fuel pump, there is also a black wire coming off the other relay Im thinkign that might just be a ground. What are both relays for exactly? There is also a fuse tied in really close to the relays.

There are 2 thick red wires combined into 1 in the last pic.

The section in the 4th picture where the obdII port comes off there is a serious of pink and and brown wire coming off. A white wire and also pink and a purple and an orange.

Its hard to explain but you can see it all in the pics I am just clarifying colors. This is all for an ls1.

-grey comeing out of relay is gonna be for the fuel pump
-the brown and pink im thining they go to the MIL light.
-the 2 reds combined, i think they'll go to the BAT.
-the little purple in the (4th pic) that is the TCC switch
-white in the 4th pic is the tach
-pink would be the ignition 1 voltage
-orange is also bat. voltage.
all this is based on previous swaps ive done, and are my best guesses.

Yea the harness looks tampered with there are some things cut but nothing to bad.. just a few things not labeled.

I have a fuse box incorperated into the harness that has 2 pink wires that are labeled ignition. If those are labeled ignition what do you think the other 2 pink smaller gauge wires you see in pic 4. Am i reading this right you think the one with the brown will both be tied into the MIL light? Then the other smaller gauge pink (w/ purple) could be ignition as well? Then the purple is TCC.

You think red would be my constant?

Do I need the MIL light and TCC switch hooked up? I have a t56 if that helps.

Im tackling this tomarrow, It doesnt sound fun!

Ok I saw where the green wire is coming out. Its on the red side on assignment 55. I looked up the pinouts for all years and the only year that even says 55 is used was 1998. Any clue why this "stand alone" harness is using 55? And it says that its supposed to be green/white and mine is only green.

In the harness I already have a plug that is labeled "vss" what would a signal wire be used for? a speedo?

Would computer year matter when using a harness like this? I ask this because if my 2002 PCM pinout says it doesnt use 55. Why would this wire do anything?

I took another picture to maybe help people to better understand.

This is a picture of the entire harness. You can see everything is ready to plug in I just have like 5/6 wires that need identified. These swaps have been done hundreds of times I figured someone would know instantly. Sorry its a bad picture but the camera was dieing. Pretty much I just need to know what the 2 relays are for. Obviously the red wire is powering the relays and the black one grounds it. There is a gray wire.. its a signal to im pretty sure the fuel pump but just not positive. There are a few wires coming off the OBDII pigtail. Ones white.. im pretty sure thats the tach the others are purple tied in with a pink and a brown tied in with pink. Not sure why they are each taped together as if it was a pair. Then there is an orgrange with black stripe coming off that section as well. (all posted in picture 2)
Then in the following picture is the last wire I am not sure of its coming directly off the main harness connector. I have been doing alot of research trying to figure this out I want to get this done. It says its coming out of 55. The only computer using that from my search is a 98 saying vss signal.

So now I am assuming this harness is made for a 98 specificly... go figure I have a 2002 computer. If anyone here can shed some knowledge that would be appriciated.

There arent any "butt" connectors on the harness that I could see. At the end of the green and at the end of the gray there is some sort of connector not connecting anything. Looks as though someone else put it there later after getting the harness...

That dark green wire could very well be a fan control wire. They are dark green and dark blue on a 99-02 harness.

Seriously the re-pin and figuring wires out would be easy, you are throwing money away.
