new info on fox swaps
1 you do not NEED to spend 200 dollars on a steering shaft.
i was able to just cut mine and slide a 4 inch piece of 1.25 tubing over it and weld it up. new shaft = 75 cents.
2. you can use the stock mustang drive shaft without cutting it.
my driveshaft was abou 2 inches too long and so if you just cut back the yoke , you can use the stock shaft the way it is.
just thought i would share some good news.
I used a section of my tire iron for my steering shaft at first, once it was nearing completion i went to a aftermarket one because my welding is suspect at best
i ranted about htis awhile back, i put my pcm in the kick panel so the blower housing wont fit back in now, eventually i will cut the housing up and fiberglass it back together to fit.
