car is coming along, last night at the local 1/8th he ran a 6.7, 6.6, 6.5 each time brake boosting it a little harder and all runs at 8psi. mph in the 105-106 range. best 60' of 1.51

last couple of runs he tried using the transbrake. it was getting late and the track was going down hill. couldn't get a hard launch without lighting up the tires. even on the foot brake he was leaving with 2,3 and even 4psi so the trans brake probably wont make a giant diference at this boost level. i could see another .1 or even .2 out of it.

with the power glides high 1st gear i see this thing being able to leave with a **** load of boost. i bet we end up pushing it to 15+psi off the line.

2nd trip to the track and it is knocking on 9's. not too bad.

for a little boost just hold the brake hard and give it some gas. for a lot of boost hit the trans brake and floor it.

got some new times with mikes mustang. video >> http://www.neufamily.org/images/mike...ike%209.74.wmv

2nd 1/4 mile run ever 10.03@138 1.5x 60' on 11psi. 110mph in the 1/8th not sure of 1/8th et

got yelled at for going faster than 135 so he made a bunch of runs letting off and working down the 1/8th. then the last run of the day he ran it out, sort of...

got a new best of 9.74@126 with a 1.5x 60' on 15psi. 6.21@114.7 in the 1/8th. he didn't let off but the car fell on it's face sometime after the 1000' mark. we thought it might be a tranny issue but after looking at the logs we are now thinking a low voltage issue caused a fuel or ignition issue.

9.74 on a warm day, not running it out and with a weak 60'. he can hit it much harder off the line but it isn't holding the power. he has been trying new things with the suspension but now we are leaning toward tires. his are 3years old and not at all spongy like my new mt dr's.

stock 6.0 other than a used z06 cam and good valve springs. thinking the car has some lower 9's for sure and still hoping for an 8.99 on a stock longblock.

nice build! after reading this it makes me fell a little better about my car. i have a cam only 6.0l D1SC at 9lbs in a hatch and in the 1/8 it runs 6.31 @ 112.99. my 1/4 miles are not so good hits the limiter a little ways before the stripe 9.81 @137.97

thats moving for only 9psi.

we were bench racing a little and it looks like the car should have an easy 9.40 in it at 12psi or so. we are baseing that off of the 330' time compared to our old fairmont. mikes car mph's much better than the fairmont so that estimate is likely a little low.

we are leaving for drag week in the morning. should be fun.

i have some vid somewhere.

9.37 i think it was but that was with the boost line comming off the ecm before 1000'.

car should have ran in the 9.1x range we think. next run he turned it up more and blew up the glide. it let out a hell of a boom when it let go. very fun to watch.

9.37 is likely the quickest stock longblock, isn't it? engine only has cam and springs. i will get more info on his run later.
