How does the pressure compare with a standard steering boxes pump pressure? Wondering if the LT1 pressure is too much for my Toyota steering box. It whines like crazy and I have bled it multiple times. I am going to try a new pump today, but should I somehow lower the pressure or do I just have a bad pump?

 

my LT1 pump works fine with a standard saginaw steering box, even if the pressure was too great I would think you would just have overboosted steering. Sounds like air in the system or a bad bearing.

 

Throw a bottle of Lucas power steering additive in it and see if it quiets down
