Default 2001 lq4 pan versus lh8

Just wondering from the pics and dimensions it doesn't look much different,bottom line will the 01 lq4 pan I have work in my 70 nova?Really don't want to waste the money if I don't have to.By the way what do you think my combo will run,stock lq4 shortblock,lunati cam 244 duration @ .050 with .609 lift intake & exhaust on a 112 lobe seperation,l92 heads,carb intake with 850cfm holley,msd box,glide with 4500 converter & transbrake,4.11 gears with 28x 10.5 slick,car weighs 3350 with me in it.I am hoping for low elevens on motor.Let me know what you think.

Pan will hang to low cut&weld or find a f body pan. Pace perf. offers a pan kit but it is very similar to lq4 pan its listed for hot rods or conv. So be careful when making choice.

Any of the truck pan will hang very low and you might have to raise or keep the car at stock height. BRP markets there latest kit for using the LH8 (hummer) pan. If not a LS2 Vette or F-Body pan and some mods is your other option if you don't want t spend the cash on a Aftermarket pan.

Sounds like you might have a combo for 11's... Just hope the bottom end will hold up. Change the Rod bolt to some ARP's

Both pans will be the lowest part of your car.......

Why not go with an autokraft pan? Your headache will be over. It has baffles too!
