I swaped a vette LS1 into my 95 4wd and had plenty of gotchas. The biggest being front differential clearance, of course mine is IFS and your solid axle might be a little easier. You will still have to custom make your motors mounts or you may find some adaptors that will work for your situation. If the mandifolds are center dump, you might for yourself hitting some steering or front dif. Like I said it might not be as bad with the solid axle. For cooling the electric fans will be simple to wire up. As far as wiring I personally found it easier to send my harness and computer off to Speartech and have them modified. You will find many posts on the wiring issues if you search. I'm glad to see another 4wd. If I can help email me Swamper104@aol.com

Is it a 5.3 or a 6.0? because I am swapping a 6.0 into a 91 k5 blazer and some of the things I ran into were ac hoses, wiring, computer reprogram, and the motor mounts. You will probably want to use the radiator from the new pickup because the old one will not flow enough, and if you send your wiring off to www.lt1350.com then they can set up the harness from the new truck up pretty cheap($250) and also a place that did my computer was pretty fairly priced, but i forget off the top of my head who did it, and if it is the 6.0, you will have some trouble with the exhaust since the engine is so wide, but its not too bad. I am not sure about the 5.3 though. any other questions I would be glad to help out with.

I also forgot to mention you might need to notch your crossmember, big maybe.
