Default Electronic Throttle control.

I am wondering what components are necessary to run the electronically controlled throttle. I purchased a 6.0L LQ4 from a Denali that has the electronically controlled throttle body.

I did not receive the pedal assembly though. Are there any other components besides the pedal that I will need to keep the electronic throttle control?? Where are they normally located, so I can see if they were included in my package. Also, are the corvette components compatible with the truck systems?

Thanks,

Todd

Yes. Besides the pedal you need the TAC module (usually mounted around the power brake booster on most trucks, not sure on the Denali), and a pedal to TAC module harness (usually fully integrated into the interior harness, but we make them and sell them for $50).

You can mix and match most of the parts from the Corvette but some of the stuff is specific by year (depending on what year your engine is).

The electronic throttle adds a few bucks to the cost if you have to buy some of the components, but the system is really slick and works great. The street rodders and kit car makers just love it. No cables to screw with, 4-wire cruise control; really nice!

We did a complete setup for a mid engine kit car recently with the intake flipped around 180 degrees. The electronic throttle was the answer to all of their problems!

It's what I run on my 11 second Z28.

Does anyone have a picture of what the TAC module looks like?? Where is it mounted in the Vette's??

Which components would I not be able to mix and match?? I want to be on the lookout for the exact parts I need to get.

Thanks...
