Default Wiring Question

Hey everybody, I'm in the process of swapping an LS1 into my 1977 corvette and I'm modifying the wiring harness and deleting all the pollution sensors and non-essential wires. I used a wiring pinout and deleted the 3 F-Body Specific connectors from the harness. All the wires led to sensors I was deleting or back to the computer EXCEPT one orange wire which led to the connector pictured below. So I've got a couple questions- do I need to replace this wire and run it to 12V or ground, or can I just delete this entire connector altogether? What does this connector do anyway?

I'm fairly new to this site so if I've posted this in the wrong section please let me know.

No picture
Most of the time orange wires in the harness need 12 volt battery power supplied to them and pinks need 12 volt ignition power

A pic would help, the only one I can think of in the Harness that is Orange is the 12V constant for the PCM.

Default wiring question

I just modified a 99 SS harness for my LS1 Rambler swap. Found lots of info in the sticky section (Thanks guys!). Look under faq for harness pinouts for your year harness. Most of the major connectors are identified by number such as C100, C101, etc. If you refer to the connector and wire color together, these guys will have an answer for you in seconds even without a pic. Another great link for wiring diagrams is Autozone.com. (recomended by someone on this forum-thanks again!). Go to the auto repair section and look for wiring diagram pages. I'm using most of the underhood harness and some of the body harness and these diagrams have been invaluable. I'll watch this thread for further questions and try to help if I can.

Don't know if it will help or not, but here are the schematics for the engine harness on a 99-02 f-body.

That's your Trans Connector, all the Wires except for one of them should go to the PCM.

The other one Wire will go to the Connectors on the Wheel Well and that is a Pink Wire, those Connectors are known as C100, C101, and C105.

I don't remember there being any Orange Wires in that, there is 2 Pink ones, one that goes to the PCM, and one to the Wheel Well Connectors.

I don't know what Tranny you are planning on running, but you are going to need that Connector and all the Wiring if you are using that Auto.

Alright that sounds like that's the one then, the wire could've been pink they were all pretty faded. I've still got the wire and I should have no problem putting it back in but then where do I run it? Does it need 12V ignition power?

If it goes to the Wheel Well Plugs, then yea, it needs a 12V Ignition Power to it.
