Hi are all L92's Veryable Valve Timing or is it just the newest engines? Which Trucks don't have the VVT? How much extra to run an L92 over other LS2 or Ls3 engines ? Is it worth it for the extra cubes? I would like to make 500 RWHP Thank you in advance for your time Wayne

The L92 is available in the Escalade and the Denali SUVs from 07 and up. Also the Sierra Denali came with it in 07. They are all VVT and with a cam swap you can make 530hp at the flywheel. With some head porting you might get close to your 500rwhp goal. There really is no extra cost involved as opposed to any other swap unless you are going to get rid of the VVT. Then you have to change several things to run a normal cam. Check out Mast Motorsports, they have some great setups using the L92 and offer a couple of cam packages as well.

You can swap in a non VVT cam and front cover. Then it is basically an LS3 w/ solid valves.
Andrew put in an LS7 cam and did away w VVT on his swap (long thread, but a TON of good tech):

I'm thinking he made ~ 418 rwhp with this pretty mellow cam and L76 intake. I would think 500 RWHP would be within reach with a bigger cam.
