No, it is done through the TAC module.

Couple questions again.

!.) Is there anyway to know FORSURE if my PCM can control a cable TB before I wire everything up and try to start it.

2.) How much of a DBW systems gayness can actually be tuned out

3.) Can I just pick up and random TAC module and pedal IF I did decide to stay DBW

Let me know, thanks.

Thanks! After a search of TAC I found a wiring diagram and it makes sense now

EDIT: went looking for the diagram I found before, and I couldn't find it again, but I found this thread So here is the link...

Bump for a hypothetical question; Based on the above statement, is it accurate to say you'd be better off acquiring a pre- '03 PCM if you're still in the planning stage and haven't yet determined whether you'll be going DBC or DBW?

Any particular PCM to look for that would offer the most flexibility?

TIA.

By the way, why do you feel that DBW makes the the under the hood look cleaner? You have more wiring and a TAC module to deal with. I know everybody is intitled to their opinion, but cleaner to me means less stufff.
So if I had my harness originally was running a 12576106 pcm ,and I added the dbc parts to the harness would it be better to run that pcm or re pin a few to use the 411 pcm. I'm just curious as I Have both but the harness was made on the 12576106 pcm

I have verified the following have Idle motor stepper driver installed:
2003: Serv. No. 12576106 with Hwd. No. 12570558 -
2004: Serv. No. 12586243 with Hwd. No. 12583659 -
2005-2006: Serv. No. 12589462 with Hwd. No. 12589161 -

pull the cover off the PCM, look for pins sticking through circuit board. If you have PINS, your got the stepper motor driver in your PCM.
