It comes up with 700fwhp and 560whp, That's pretty stout.

The mph of 136.22 should get me into the nines if I can get the 60' into the mid to low 1.40's

I go to Cecil, maybe you could give my carb a try sometime in the spring, maybe let ya know when I'm going.

I am running L92's on a stock 6.0 shortblock. Custom Cam.

Dave
How in the hell can you be that fast with no power adder? Thats crazy. Is it just a stock 6.0 lq4 with l92's and a cam? What are you cam specs if you don't mind me asking?

I have my shortblock complete. Just needed some final input on carb, intake and heads.

I think this thread covered my carb questions. And through all of this, I think I will go with my original plan of L92s!!! I was 'looking' at other heads, but man the price comparison...

And I think I'll stick with a Vic. Jr. intake.

Makes 550-575 FWHP. estimated.
The shortblock is stock LQ4(dish pistons), changed the rod bolts to ARP's
The cam specs are Rapid Motorsports to give out....
The cam is high 230's intake, high 240's exhaust..600+ lift HR.
The pistons had to be notched for the larger L92 valves(intake only).
This required disassembly of the shortblock and my machinist made the reliefs.
Heads are milled 030.

And you are correct, slapping a custom carb on a mismatched combo will not make it fast.....it is not that easy.

I shift at 7000, through the traps at 7000. 4.10 gear 28" tire.

Built this combo to go 10.0 index racing, it will need to go 9.80's this spring to run consistent 10.0's at different tracks and conditions.
Should be accomplished with with the correct converter based on my mph.
sorry for the hijack......

I thought you only had to notch the pistons when using an Lq9? Because they have flat top pistons. I read a carcraft L92,6.0 build and they didnt need to notch the pistons with the Lq4.

The cam they used did not require notching. mine did.....

4rcFed,
Good luck on your carb choice, Both Holley and Demon have good carb selection info on their websites. Or custom your choice.
I used the GM single plane as it was the only carb intake available for L92 at the time.

The Vic Jr looks nice, cant beat the L92 bang for the buck.

have you tried using a HVH spacer under your carb. i have heard many good things about it from quick sbc racers, but no one has exp. with lsx engine and carb.
imo the HP Holley is one of the best out of the box carbs., i have heard more negative about demon, than any other carb.,
