Headers that work with an LS1 and Gear Box? (69 Camaro) Well I was going to go with the Steeroids rack and pinion unit but i got some negative feedback so ive decided to stay with the quick ratio gear box from DS&E.
Anyone know of headers that will work with this combo? The ones from Year One only work if you run the front mounted rack/pinion set-up.
Any help would be appreciated.. oh, I have updated pics of my 69 build finally up on my site..

Re: Headers that work with an LS1 and Gear Box? (69 Camaro) Some people are just sooooooo lucky!! I was just getting ready to sell my Street and Performance coated headers on eBay this weekend or next. These were for my 1969 Camaro with a Z06 engine and T56 tranny. The original plan was to have the regular steering box so I ordered these headers. Then I decided to go ahead and splurge for the Martz Chassis with rack and pinion. So, I bought a second set of Street and Performance headers designed for the rack. These are brand new and onlt been mounted on the car. Engine was never fired with these headers. My receipt for these are at home and I spent over $500 shipped to my house. I'll even scan the invoice and e-mail it for proof.
I'll take a picture of them and e-mail if you want. Here is a link to the S&P headers for more info.

I'll take $450 shipped anywhere in the 48 states.

All those pics and not ONE of the headers.. I saw the S&P website but which headers are the ones you have?

I do have a correction to make however......There is going to be ONE Blue "LS1" 69 Camaro and ONE Blue "LS6" 69 Camaro.
:p Oh, and the "LS6" is going to have a polished Magnacharger on top as well!
I guess I'll see ya tomorrow to look at those headers. Just give me a call and I'll give ya directions.

I do know that they only offer it in polished form though, which is an additional $700 on their other kits. I would "guesstimate" it to cost around $6000+ retail. Compare it to the prices of their polished C5 kit, but add the costs of an intercooler, intercooler pump system, etc...
