I know it's a FWD car, but can't you use a G8 or whatever 6-speed or auto and make this happen? I always liked the look of the car, and was just curious if this has ever been done.

I have not seen a car with this done, but I suspect it is possible. Given that the Allante have a Northstar as an original engine, there should be room for the LS4 from the FWD Monte/Impala/Grand Prix/Regal. You should have no problems fitting the transmission either, as the original engine was paired to either a 4T60 (same size at the 4T65E normally paired with the LS4) or an 4T80 which would probably be a better choice for the HP and torque of the LS4. Go take a look in the LS4 forum on this site to see the frequent transmission problems the LS4 cars have.

Actually, I recorded it and used it as background noise today...Guess I should have paid more attention. I will go to there site and search the sold cards. Maybe it will say who consigned it.

OK, the only two listed were the ones I saw. One was a 4.5 (stock non northstar), and the other was an Indy Pace Car with the Northstar (4.8). Are you saying the 4.8 is the LSX 4.8? I was thinking more like the LS2 or LS3 type motors.
