Default Coil bracket problem...

Putting the 5.3 in the camaro, im using an ls1 intake, injectors, fuel rail, but also using the truck centerbolt valve covers, coil brackets, and coils.

My problem, the inlet on the ls1 rail hits the driver side coil pack bracket and one of the coils.

Should I buy ls1 brackets, if so what year? Will the truck coils fit in the ls1 brackets? Or should I try and modify the rail or bracket, where would I begin?

My friend just ran into the same issue. We just bought a set of aftermarket fuel rails.

You can just carefully bend the inlet either up or back slightly to clear the coil.

If and only if, there was no fuel in it, would heating it up with a torch cause less stress on it, or is that a bad situation?

Is this for the circle Truck Coils?

I have LS2 Rails and the circle Truck ones, and I have no problems..

Do not heat it...just put a socket or something over it and go slow

Dunno how much difference it makes (i don't recall any) but I did turn my rails around so the inlet is on the pass side since thats where it was easier to run a fuel line, but I'm 99% sure it looked about the same either way

This is with the square truck coils

i was going do a simular swap for mounting holes on the truck valve covers vs my ls1 covers have no mounting holes on the lower side. do the coil brackets swap between valve covers?

the pics of the engine and trans are my setup and i need valve covers that have the hole for the mounting bolt. I have a 02 4.8 truck that has mounting hole below the coil bracket.
