I need to get off my *** and do something soon. I dropped off a new valve and a new seat at the machine shop, should have them back early next week. I have the special tool ordered to pull the crank sprocket, and am trying to get the rest of my bolts and cam bearings from Texas Speed. I have a friend who offered to come help knock out the old bearings, install the new ones along with the cam. I can't wait to hear it either

Thanks man. Whats with these new motors dropping valves? Was the one in the avalanche a 6.2 or 6.0? I wish I could have gotten the complete motor out the backdoor of the dealership. I bet it was cheap

And the BRP girdle is either easy to make, or you can "substitute" some things. I wanted the girdle effect, so I just used a bolt with a large washer on it. It will help hold it even, and you don't have to buy an expensive girdle. If you have the tools, you could have a girdle machined easily.

What paint is that? I think I want to go that route with my 6.0.
